Current Forecast

23 July 2008 16:12

Today

Dry in most places this evening, with warm sunshine at times. A few isolated heavy or thundery showers, mainly in the northwest.

Tonight

Mild and humid tonight, with many areas dry, but with scattered heavy or thundery showers also - these most likely in the south and east, but possible anywhere. Lowest temperatures 11 to 15 C.

Tomorrow

Another humid day tomorrow, with a mix of hazy sunshine and scattered heavy showers or thunderstorms. Becoming warm again in sunshine away from exposed coasts. Highest temperatures ranging 18 to 24 C.

3 Day Outlook

From Friday onwards temperatures will not be as high and the weather will gradually become more unsettled. The heavy thundery showers will continue on into Thursday night, but they should largely disappear by Friday. Friday will then be mostly a cloudy day with some rain at times but often dry too. Again fairly cloudy on Saturday with scattered outbreaks of rain but good dry periods also. Temperatures will now be around 19 or 20C. Sunday will work out much the same too; dry periods with a few sunny intervals but generally cloudy with outbreaks of rain However by the start of next week the weather looks like turning back to its very wet pattern of the early summer as heavy thundery rain once more sweeps up over Ireland from the south.
