Thickening cloud and rain will spread into the southwest, west and north during the day and will become persistent and heavy there, but most other areas will stay dry for daylight hours. Windy and wet in most places on Thursday night. The rain will continue into Friday with further heavy falls expected, however it should clear from western areas by early afternoon with brighter weather following there, but staying overcast and wet in the east and south with further heavy rain and the danger of flooding continuing for the rest of Friday and overnight. Still some rain in eastern areas early Saturday but clearing away in the morning and the rest of the day will be mostly dry and bright.
